As the Disney Co. continues to exploit their acquisition of the Marvel World, they now take you under the sea. Meet Princess Namoria, the Submariel, as she confronts the villainous "Professor Octowoman". Will the Submariel agree to Professor Octowoman's Faustian offer? Seriously, I'm temporarily lacking for a copy of Photoshop, so I'm using markers on a photocopy of my cleaned up drawing (the rough is below). I've also adjusted the brightness and contrast. My previous post featuring Marvel/Disney hybrids was done back in 2009, and it is by far, the most popular thing on my blog. I later discovered that by entering the search terms "draw the Disney way" into Google, one is directed almost straight to my own blog! It's about the fifth result that comes up!

Croodaceous, period!
One of the films I have been most anticipating for 2013(A.D!) is about to hit theatres. I'm talking about Dreamworks' "The Croods"
http://www.thecroodsmovie.com/.
I thought this would give me a good excuse to post some drawings I did last June for a "cave people" themed Fathers' Day Card. I did this before seeing any artwork from "Croods". I hope you like it! Notice how the design of the father "evolved" from the early rough to the final version.

"That's How I Bowl!"
Ah, the joys of getting back into old school, hand crafted animation! For reference, I looked at some bowling footage on YouTube. The idea of a "bowling troll" came partially from "Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving. I will try to shoot my animation in a more "web friendly" way in the future. So far, I'm just aiming my ipad at the moniter on our pencil test machine at school to document the work. The upside of this, is that you can hear the classical music station in the background, as well as bits of chatter coming from the room. A little "slice of life" of an evening at the Academy, served with a little rough animation.
